Actual I.T. has successfully completed a PCS project in Bulgaria

Actual I.T. has successfully completed a project in Bulgaria involving the implementation of a PCS platform for the ports of Varna and Burgas. The PCS digital platform enables smart, secure and reliable information exchange between all port stakeholders, improving the efficiency of cooperation and the competitive position of the port and its entire community.

The project, which ran from 2019 to the end of 2023, was an important milestone for our T&L team. Despite the completion of the baseline project, the cooperation with the client continues at the level of production roll-out and systems maintenance. At Actual I.T., we are proud of our team's achievements and look forward to the future, where we will continue to manage and maintain the systems efficiently and strive to deliver even more innovative projects.

Upon the successful completion of the project, it was presented at a gala event "Development and Implementation of an Electronic Information Exchange System in Bulgarian Ports (Port Community System - PCS)", which took place in November at the Burgas Congress Centre and was attended by Actual I.T.'s EBS Director Boštjan Petelin and Transport&Logistics Project Manager Erik Čirkovič on behalf of Actual I.T. The completed project represented another major step towards the realization of the smart ports concept, which is being implemented by the state-owned company Bulgarian Port Infrastructure (BPI). The participation and support at the event were confirmed by the presence of ministers and several important stakeholders, which was highlighted in a speech by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Georgi Gvozdejkov, who stressed that "we already have full digitization of document processing in our seaports, and paper will soon be completely abolished." The fact that maritime digitalization is increasingly entering all processes was also confirmed by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Anna Natova.
The project was funded under the Operational Programme Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014-2020, which is another step towards innovative solutions in the field of transport infrastructure.
Our next steps in this context will focus on efficient management and maintenance of the systems and ensuring optimal performance of the solutions in production.
We thank all participants for their efforts and commitment and look forward to new challenges and opportunities in the future.
