Empowering Progress: Actual I.T. steps forward with its newest partner

ACTUAL I.T. GROUP about to digitalise Georgian ports for the Ministry of economy and sustainable development of Georgia

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone on our journey - the newly signed contract for the PCS project in Georgia with the Georgia Maritime Transport Agency (MTA).

This new PCS project is not important only for our organization, but also for Georgia itself, affecting its economy and the logistics industry in general. The potential of the project is highlighted by the support of respected institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Union (EU), and the United Kingdom (UK). Their support reflects a shared commitment to revolutionize Georgia's logistics sector through digital transformation. We are very honored to have an important role in this effort and expect the far-reaching positive effects it will have on Georgia's economic landscape and the global logistics arena.

The PCS project will not only facilitate trade through Georgian ports but will also play an important role in establishing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable logistics chains, which bring value to the country as a whole. In addition, we firmly believe that this initiative will be the main driver in the development and integration of Georgia's logistics network with prominent international trade routes such as the Silk Road and the Middle Corridor. This integration will unlock new trade opportunities, strengthen connectivity and elevate Georgia's position as a central player in world trade and logistics.

The official launch of the project was attended by Actual I.T. Group's Boštjan Petelin, Pavle Jazbec, Erik Čirkovič and Mitja Žigante, as well as the representatives from DBA Group, UGT from Georgia, the Maritime Transport Agency (MTA), the Ministry of Economy of Georgia, the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK) – the latter are, in addition to EBRD, the PCS project donors. This joint presence emphasizes the shared efforts and shared commitment to the success of the PCS project.

Boštjan Petelin, Director of EBS in Actual I.T. expressed his enthusiasm for the new PCS project and highlighted its potential to foster new partnerships and accelerate the digitization of the Georgian logistics chain. "The digitization of logistics processes will pave the way for improved integration and efficient freight management, which will ultimately drive economic growth and cooperation between regions." At the same time, he also expects that the new digitization of the maritime sector will contribute to the strengthening of international trade and the integration of logistics chains.

After seven years of great efforts in the Caspian and Black Sea regions, we are extremely proud to not only serve the port of Baku, Varna, and Burgas, but to expand our IT solutions with the aim of attracting other ports in this area to participate. This marks an important step forward in our mission to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of ports and logistics operations in this dynamic region. The future looks bright, as we move forward in our commitment to promote digitization, connectivity, and efficiency in global logistics. Together with our partners and colleagues, we are ready to drive transformative change that will leave a lasting impact on the logistics industry in Georgia and beyond.
