Port of Durrës: New partner in the Actual I.T. T&L family

The new partnership with the Port of Durrës in Albania, which has been active since October, includes the implementation of a basic PCS module with ship and cargo information modules. This is the blueprint for a new national port community information system - PCS, which will cover basic modules, ship notifications, and cargo operations in Phase 1.

Last autumn, we won the tender for the Port Community System in the Port of Durrës, making Albania a new market in which we operate. The new partnership with the Port of Drač, which has been active since October, includes the implementation of a basic PCS module with ship and cargo information modules. This is the blueprint for a new national port community information system - PCS, which in Phase 1 will cover the basic modules, ship notifications, and cargo operations. The software module includes functions such as ship and cargo monitoring, status, and change notifications.

The Port of Durrës is the largest port in Albania and one of the most important in the region, offering a wide range of services to passengers and traders. From a strategic point of view, it is of great importance due to its location and the trade routes between Albania and its neighboring countries.

The basic module Port Community System was chosen by the Port of Drač because they were faced with the challenges of unsustainable infrastructure, the risk and innovation challenges of port security, and the development of port infrastructure as an economic priority. The implementation of the core module itself will improve the management information systems, their efficiency, competitiveness, and information flow between the whole port community and enable them to provide more accurate data.

Otherwise, with our digital platform, ports gain smart, secure, and reliable information exchange between all stakeholders in the port. The use of PCS improves the efficiency of cooperation and, consequently, the competitive position of the port and its entire community.
